Atlantic coastline bridge

This single color block print features the Atlantic Coastline Bridge that spans the James River just west of Richmond, Va.

The bridge was originally build in 1919, and was one of the first major projects of its caliber to rely on poured concrete as its building material. The bridge was designed to provide rail lines a straight shot across the river and through Richmond for passengers and perishable cars. Now still active, the bridge is a classic part of Richmond’s river views.
